A port characteristic which, when enabled, causes the server to allow modification of local port parameters (speed, character size, parity, etc.) from the remote end of the connection through protocol-specific means. Note for ports with vPortType = 'physicalLCDPanel(5)' or vPortType = 'virtualConsole(6)' this object is not modifiable. The agent will accept any valid value on a set-request for such ports.
