This attribute specifies the maximum number of times the IWF retransmits a frame upon expiry of t401AckTimer before appropriate recovery action is taken. Information about N400 (Retransmission Limit) is not carried in the Exchange Identification (XID) negotiation at call setup time so both sides operate with different N400 values. Changes to this attribute do not affect existing calls.
