This counter is the sum of MIB items cpqNicIfPhysAdapterDeferredTransmissions cpqNicIfPhysAdapterLateCollisions, cpqNicIfPhysAdapterExcessiveCollisions, cpqNicIfPhysAdapterCarrierSenseErrors, and cpqNicIfPhysAdapterInternalMacTransmitErrors. If this counter increments frequently, check the more detailed error statistics and take appropriate action.
