This value represents the state of the tributary relative to the multipoint polling algorithm. If not set the default is AUTOMATIC. The possible states are: AUTOMATIC The tributary's state is allowed to vary according to the operation of the polling algorithm. ACTIVE/INACTIVE/DYING/DEAD The tributary is locked in the specified state. NOTE: These values are incremented by one compared to the standard DECnet values in order to maintain compliance with RFC 1155.
