How big can your database get before we start running into issues?
Important: starting from v5.1 build 14047, IPHost does not keep raw monitoring data in its database, thus reducing its size and enhancing reliability. In previous versions, raw data (performance values for all polls) was stored by default for last 24 hours.
Q: The bigger database file is, the more resources it will take to process. How big can the file grow before it starts slowing everything down?
A: The historic aggregated data (half-hour averages) is stored for last 100 days (can be changed on Monitoring tab from Settings dialog).
There’s no rule of thumb on how large the database file may be with database still running at acceptable speed. You can start with default settings safely.
